Welcome to Shelter of Hope

Providing emergency and transitional shelter to individuals and families for over 30 years

About Us

Who we are...

Founded in 1988, the Shelter of Hope is  a community-based organization focused on helping individuals & families move from homelessness to a permanent residence.  Shelter of Hope provides  temporary emergency and transitional housing and services to persons who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless in the Boyd, Greenup and Lawrence County areas.  Shelter of Hope has programs that may be able to help with security and utility deposits. The goal for providing these services is to enable the family to become self-sufficient and to prevent episodes of homelessness. Services are provided without discrimination with regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or religion.
